This truck is an absolutely phenomenal find coming out of the west coast. The Chevy was sold new in the heart of California's wine country in Napa, CA. After a few years the owner moved to the Washoe Valley in Nevada close to Reno. The truck spent all of its life on the ranch only being used to haul the horse trailers to rodeos around the southwest. Ol' Porko is a true western cowboys truck complete with the white Western Trailer Mirrors and the bumper stickers to tell a story of western its rodeo heritage. Its no secret Squarebody trucks are very popular. It is important to note there were dozens of models and options availableand not every model is created equal when it comes to desirability. Not to mention there are many squarebodies that are far from original being hacked up, swapped, filled with cheap Asian remade parts from LMC, Brothers, etc. That being said certain models get set apart from the rest. A 1 Ton 4 wheel drive dually with a 454, 4 speed, NP205, Dana 60/ Dana 70 axles is viewed by owners and enthusiast alike as one of those models that gets set above the rest when it comes to desirability and options. When that truck has low miles and looks like it did in 1985 without being restored with cheap Asianparts now we're talking about a squarebody that is survivor and is hard to duplicate. Do not miss out on this opportunity to own one of the finest examples of a 1985 Chevy K30 dually.Cosmetically this truck is in exceptional condition. The body is very straight with no damage and absolutelyzero rust. A matter of fact the floor boards are so clean you could eat off of them. The high desert Nevada climate is great for preserving cars. However General Motors was not known for their use of quality paint in the 80s and many GM vehicles saw their paint fall off with time. That being said the truck has been preserved very well except the paint. The truck was recently painted by a notable shop in Reno, the quality of work on the 2 stage paint job is exceptional and without a doubt the paint itself is a higher quality than GM used in 1985. That being said the truck looks exactly like it did in 1985. 6 brand new 235/85/16 Mud Terrain tires were just installed and look great. It is hard to point out cosmetic flaws on this truck, this is a very nice truck.Step inside this beast and the interior matches the exterior in exceptional quality. The blue vinyl seat is the original seat and has not been reupholstered. It is in great shape with one very small (few inches) seam separation on the drivers side. The blue original blue vinyl floor is in great shape with no tears or cracks. The original door panels are flawless. All the blue paint from the roof to the doors and dash is vibrant and matches the exterior. The dash is in good shape. All of the gauges are functional except the radio will need speakers hooked up. The AC does not blow cold. Overall the interior has been preserved exceptionally for the last 35 years and is in great original condition.Mechanically this truck is the king of the hill when it comes to capabilities. The 7.4 liter 454cid V8 fires up on the first turn and runs strong. This truck has the most optimal mechanical drive lineavailablein a square bodytruck. Starting with the largest motor, the iconic Chevy 454 backed by a heavy duty Muncie SM465 4 speed which shifts smooth in all gears and reverse. The New Process 205 is the most sought after transfer case because of its rigid cast iron case gear driven design, making itindestructible and the best choice for 4x4 use. Down to the axles, you can't order anything more heavy duty from Chevrolet than a Dana 60F front axle and a Dana 70 dual rear wheel axle. This combination can only be found on a 4x4 1 ton truck with dual rear wheels. With 4.10 gears you have the low end grunt and strength to pull anything, and with 4 wheel drive engaging6 wheels you can pull anything in any environment. This truck is very tight, there are close to 10 thousand dollars in recent receipts. In last 1,000 miles the oil pan gasket, rear main seal, oil cooler gasket, a clutch, flywheel, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, clutch hose have been replaced all done at Champion Chevrolet in Reno,NV.This listing includes well over 200 detailed photos in various lighting and the vehicle has been described as descriptive as possible.
