1956 Studebaker Parkview Station Wagon

1956 Studebaker Parkview Station Wagon
Vehicle Description

1956 Studebaker Commander

For sale is a 1956 two-door Studebaker Parkview station wagon. This body style is a one year only and fairly rare. I have the Studebaker museum build sheet that details all the original options for this wagon. What makes it a little more rare is it was built in the Los Angles production plant instead of the South Bend, IN plant like most.It has the original 289 V-8 with a 3 speed column shift and cable operated overdrive. Optioned on the build sheet is the high power kit which comes with a factory 4 barrel carter carburetor and dual exhaust. We bought this car from California and had it shipped to PA. In fact, the person we bought it from said he found it on a walnut farm in CA. Other than some small areas of rust which is common, it is in good shape. We were planning on restoring it but things changed. It has some small rust areas on the rear quarter panels, floors, and roof area but nothing that isn't repairable. The frame is in great condition. The car came from CA to us in running condition. You can see in the pictures there were some new belts, hoses, battery, exhaust, etc. done to get it running again. The one freeze plug on the engine leaked water so we drained the coolant and the car has sat for about 1.5 years since I last ran it in a climate controlled shop.Vehicle is sold as-is. Please ask any questions. Thank you.
