1972 Toyota LandCruiser Land Cruiser FJ55 Iron Pig Hybrid rig
Vehicle Description

1972 Toyota Land Cruiser

1972 FJ55 Iron Pig body sitting on a 1989 FJ62 chassis and running gear powered by the 3F-EFI engine and driven by a 4 spd manual from a FJ60. This is a pretty unique combo/hybrid build that is very fun to drive. OME 3" lift installed with little time on it. Micky Thompson wheels w 35's that will need replaced as they are pretty thrashed on and vibrate. New front body mounts custom made along with new rear sill plate underneath and new body mounts there too. Everything pretty much works, I picked this up a few months ago and finished some of the PO's work internally buttoning up a few things. When I got it i CLR'd the entire body with steel wool and then 2 coats of Flood to seal it, I like the patina look. I know its not for everybody but I wasnt interested in doing body work so I just polished it up some. Steering column is FJ62 w steering wheel controls but FJ55 wheel. Everything works except the rear window. Tailgate is from a '78 and PO ran a remote switch to power rear window from back by the tailgate. Tailgate needs put back together as I replaced the broken gear. Front seats are the 2nd row buckets out of a Sequoia and are in great shape, Tuffy console which is very comfortable as an armrest when driving and shifting. Back seat is original. Seatbelts are out of a Toyota pickup and functioning. Everything works as far as lights, wipers, heater, blower etc. Still some work to do tidying up dash wiring but its all there and functional. I disassembled all doors and cleaned out door bottoms, installed new door window run and wiper in drivers door. Installed sound deadner in doors and fluid filmed everything inside doors. All windows and lock work as they should. I also installed sound deadner on pretty much the entire floor and installed two patches on front floor where stock body mounts had long rusted away. Sealed patches with seam sealer, painted and covered with deadner and then factory toyota floor mat. Rear cargo area has been POR15'd and sound deadner applied on entire surface. Head liner is gone so I installed some sound deadner on that area too and painted some of it white. Rear cargo panels and driver door skin will need to be fabricated as I did not get to that. 4x4 and transfer case/lockouts work as they should. LC has no oil or leaks of any kind. New power steering complete line was installed when I got it as it did have a leak. Frame and all running gear are very solid with some rust but no rot or scaling. This rig came from Colorado. Obviously as you can see in pics body has some rust but is well worth saving if you wanted to make it perfect, I preferred the "experienced" look! LOL Please feel free to ask questions, I will answer as best as I can. Dont really want to sell this but need to as I have too many projects. I can assist in shipping and have used USHIP before with good results. Paypal accepted and we can work out details at the end of auction. Hope this rig goes to a great home as its a cool piece! All sales are final. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. Thanks All!

For those asking I am not a dealer, I just used my buddys dealer plate around town. Also the rear tailgate handle was made by the PO friend, its very well built. Inside of tailgate was washed out and fluid filmed and is in great shape. Thanks for looking!
